In the auto world, hardly any new specialty vehicles manage to stay "under wraps" until their official release, and it seems that the new Infiniti Emerge-E hybrid supercar has met the same fate. Images of the sleek, sporty vehicle have exposed themselves in dull grey, computer-generated sketches online, which have disrupted the Japanese luxury brand's own plan for a teaser campaign that began last month and only revealed small "snippets" of the vehicle. The new Infiniti will be officially revealed at this year's Geneva Motor Show.

The Infiniti Emerge-E is a groundbreaking concept for the auto manufacturer and should help to further promote the luxury brand on a global level. It's expected to feature a 1.2-liter gasoline engine that works in tandem with plug-in hybrid technology, with the engine able to recharge battery while in motion. Infiniti has also confirmed that the "sports car concept will be the first Infiniti to have not only a range-extender drivetrain but also one mounted in a mid-ship package for optimal weight distribution and therefore handling."¹ The Infiniti Emerge-E isn't the first sports car to use these kinds of technologies, but it is one of the few in existence.
