New Infiniti Emerge-E Hybrid Sports Car Digitally Exposed

In the auto world, hardly any new specialty vehicles manage to stay "under wraps" until their official release, and it seems that the new Infiniti Emerge-E hybrid supercar has met the same fate. Images of the sleek, sporty vehicle have exposed themselves in dull grey, computer-generated sketches online, which have disrupted the Japanese luxury brand's own plan for a teaser campaign that began last month and only revealed small "snippets" of the vehicle. The new Infiniti will be officially revealed at this year's Geneva Motor Show.

The Infiniti Emerge-E is a groundbreaking concept for the auto manufacturer and should help to further promote the luxury brand on a global level. It's expected to feature a 1.2-liter gasoline engine that works in tandem with plug-in hybrid technology, with the engine able to recharge battery while in motion. Infiniti has also confirmed that the "sports car concept will be the first Infiniti to have not only a range-extender drivetrain but also one mounted in a mid-ship package for optimal weight distribution and therefore handling."1 The Infiniti Emerge-E isn't the first sports car to use these kinds of technologies, but it is one of the few in existence.
